Dear Sports Enthusiast,

For the past 16 years the Sports Foundation of the Capital Region has celebrated a very special group of student athletes.  The annual Scholar Athlete Awards honor regional high school students who achieve not only excellence in a variety of sports but also scholastic excellence.  All 100 high schools from throughout Section II are invited to nominate a male and female student athlete for
this program.  They represent a variety of sports from tennis and golf to soccer, swimming, football, baseball and basketball among others.  These young Scholar Athletes represent the brightest and the best of our region and will be the future stars of Tech Valley.

The Foundation’s mission encompasses fostering these types of programs that celebrate young amateur athletes.
